Carnival Cruise Line is preparing to welcome guests to its new destination, Celebration Key, an exclusive Bahamian opening July 19, 2025. Part of Carnival’s expanding Paradise Collection—which also includes Half Moon Cay and Isla Tropicale—Celebration Key is purpose-built for full-day relaxation and fun, featuring five “portals” (distinct zones), family- and adults-only beaches and a 275,000-square-foot freshwater lagoon complex.
What to Expect at Celebration Key
Upon arrival, your clients will pass through the Sun Portal, a sun-shaped arch that leads into Paradise Plaza, where destination information helps guests choose their perfect day. The focal point is the Suncastle, a 10-story architectural structure topped with five conch shells. Guests can take on two 350-foot water slides that twist through the structure.
For water lovers, the Calypso and Starfish Lagoons offer a combined 275,000 square feet of freshwater fun. Calypso Lagoon caters to adults with upbeat DJ tunes at DJ Island and refreshers from Mingo’s Tropical Bar & Kitchen with 166 in-water seats. Meanwhile, Starfish Lagoon is built for families, with options like AquaBanas, floating cabanas for eight and the Guppy Grotto, a coral reef-themed splash pad for toddlers.
Elevated Experiences for Premium Clients
Advisors booking high-end clients will want to look at Celebration Key’s luxury offerings:
- Over-the-Lagoon Super Villas: Designed for groups of up to 10, these villas float directly over the lagoons and come with hammocks, shaded loungers, stocked fridges, fresh snacks, a private sun shelf with loungers and even a water slide into the lagoon. Some are located at family beaches, while others cater exclusively to adults.
- Pearl Cove Beach Club: An adults-only hideaway with a private infinity pool, swim-up bar, exclusive beach access, loungers and daybeds and an upscale restaurant and bar. Club access is available in three tiers, including options with open bar (10-drink max) and private dining.
Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy will officially open Celebration Key on July 19, 2025. The destination will be accessible from 18 Carnival ships and is expected to quickly become a cornerstone of the brand’s Bahamian itineraries.
