ALG Vacations has announced a new mega-FAM strategy for this year, with two of these events taking place—one in Cancun (April 9-13) and a second in Punta Cana (June 19-12). The new events will be called Pros on the Go.

“ALGV FAMs are incredibly popular and tend to fill up quickly,” said Jacqueline Marks, ALGV’s Global Head of Trade Brands, in a press statement. “We wanted to streamline the process for our sales and events teams and leverage the larger education and networking opportunity with advisors and the ALGV staff, incorporating the highest value components of our Ascend conference on a smaller scale. We think ALGV Pros on the Go will be another extremely popular in-destination event for the travel advisor community.”

The invitees to these two FAM opportunities, which will include travel advisors from all the U.S. sales regions and host agencies, will be chosen by ALGV Business Development Managers. A first-hand look at the properties in these destinations will be an asset for both seasoned and newer advisors looking to grow sales to these two destinations. All of the participants will be required to complete their ALGVPro certification before they join the FAM.

ALG Vacations’ New FAMs Also Give Back

At their 2024 strategy meeting, ALG Vacations and Amstar™ executives and management supported 12 children and 3 women living in a home sponsored by Cancun Pro Kids, which protects vulnerable women and children from exploitation and abuse.

A huge part of ALGV’s in-person events this year will be the chance to give back to local communities. These events will include donation collections as well as on-site service activities. Last year, over 2,000 travel advisors traveled with ALGV and participated in the donation and hands-on service activities that benefitted several charities, including Manos de Amor in Puerto Vallarta, the Montego Bay Animal Haven, La Escuelita de Sonia in Cancun and more.
