The Asticou, Maine

Hotel Valley Ho, Arizona

The Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Arizona, is undergoing an $18 million guestroom renovation, the most extensive since its grand debut in 1956. The refresh will also introduce all-new Executive Suites set to debut later this year.

Inspired by historic hotel photography, guestrooms will maintain the hotel’s original styling but introduce new elements. Hotel Valley Ho’s transformation also introduces the ground-level, pool-facing Cabana King Rooms, featuring extended patios with sun loungers, tables and chairs—offering the exclusivity of a private cabana experience. Meanwhile, revitalized Terrace Suites boast separate living and sleeping areas, private patios, king-size beds, queen sleeper sofas and custom furnishings.

Birdwood Mansion, Charlottesville

Birdwood Mansion, a 19th-century estate in the foothills of Charlottesville, has embarked on an extensive restoration project to transform the historic property into a luxury boutique hotel. Set on the grounds of Boar’s Head Resort, the reimagined 7-room retreat will debut in Fall 2025, offering an exclusive escape steeped in history.

Originally constructed between 1819 and 1830, Birdwood Mansion’s revival will preserve its architecture while introducing modern luxury and personalized guest experiences. The estate will feature four individually curated guestrooms within the main house and three adjacent cottages.

Beyond the mansion, guests can explore nearly 12 acres of landscaped gardens. Birdwood Mansion guests will enjoy access to the full suite of Boar’s Head Resort’s amenities, from golf courses to a spa and sports club. National Landing Hotel, Arlington

The National Landing Hotel Crystal City has announced a new name and identity as it undergoes a top-to-bottom transformation slated for completion in May 2025. Formerly known as Marriott Crystal City at Reagan National Airport, the 347-room hotel will be unveiled as another Marriott Bonvoy portfolio brand—to be announced following the renovation.
