With more and more travelers flocking to Colombia, Tara Tours has launched a new itinerary that will take guests to some of the country’s most popular destinations: Bogota, Medellin, and Cartagena.
The new 8-day Colombia’s Big Three itinerary starts in Bogota, the country’s capital, where guests will visit the Colonial District in downtown, Bolivar Square, the Presidential Palace, the House of Congress, the Supreme Court of Justice, and the Gold Museum, which houses more than 10,000 gold pieces from Colombia’s ancient civilizations.
Next on the itinerary is a visit to the city of Medellin. In Medellin, visit the Botero Museum and Park with its art and mammoth sculptures all crafted in Botero’s recognizable style.
The last stop on the trip will take travelers to the historic walled city of Cartagena. With homes and buildings from the 1600 to 1800s having been restored, this colonial city now draws tourists for its colorful streets, its beaches, and its unique history with Colombia’s Afrolatino population.
Rates for this tour start at $1,591 pp dbl and include all accommodations, daily buffet breakfast, private sightseeing tours in all three cities, English-speaking tour guides, private roundtrip airport transfers, taxes and service charges, plus 24-hour assistance from a local representative if needed.
