Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel Port de Soller

Design Hotels has announced the opening of the Bikini Island & Mountain Hotel Port de Soller in Mallorca.

Situated in the Mallorcan village of Port de Soller and set to open in June 2018, the property boasts 114 guestrooms and suites and is located just minutes from the beach and promenade. Its interiors are inspired by the original 1960s San Francisco hippie movement, incorporating an earthy palette and spaces that make use of natural and organic materials, as well as the grounds’ endless topiary. The lush gardens are anchored by a large pentagonal pool featuring colorful mosaic tiling, surrounded by double loungers and patterned parasols with a 1960s-inspired design.

Food and beverage options include the newest outpost of Neni, a popular pan-Middle Eastern tapas restaurant led by the Molcho family, which specializes in colorful Balagan-style cuisine. The hotel’s bar concept has been created by mixologist Joerg Meyer—inventor of the Gin Basil Smash—and features an inventive cocktail list drawing on local ingredients. The property also features a lively pool bar with views to the Mediterranean Sea, as well as a spa that includes treatment rooms, a sauna, and its own pool.
