Loews Hotels is bringing guests a blast from the past with the debut of The Bellhop Bar, a retrofitted steamer trunk packed with bespoke beverages stored in antique apothecary-style bottles.
The Bellhop Bar is on display in 19 properties from 5-7 p.m. daily, allowing guests to choose from local, pre-batched cocktails, as well as domestically produced wine, to be poured, mixed and served on demand. Pre-made cocktails at The Bellhop Bar use Angel’s Envy Bourbon or Hangar One Vodka with each Loews property putting its own twist on the drinks. For example, guests checking into the Loews Chicago Hotel can sip on the Co-HOP Honey Old Fashioned made with Chicago Honey Co-Op simple syrup. At the Loews Miami Beach Hotel the Old Fashioned is served with mango-infused simple syrup, mango bitters, orange bitters, and a slice of dehydrated mango for a tropical fruity taste. For an Italian twist, travelers can head to Loews Portofino Bay at Universal Orlando Resort, where they’re serving up the Magari No. 2 with Hangar One Vodka, lemon juice, Limoncello and basil leaves.
“As we enter into the extended holiday season, we wanted to create a cocktail promotion that evokes a wistful affection for the past, helps guests toast the season of celebrations, and is aligned with our brand food and beverage point of view at Loews,” said Mark Weiss, senior v.p. of food & beverage of Loews Hotels & Co, in press materials. “The Bellhop Bar by Loews Hotels delivers a thoughtfully unscripted experience for our guests, nodding to the adventures of travelers from eras ago, and providing them with an opportunity to indulge in locally handcrafted cocktails across the portfolio.”
The Bellhop Bar promotion is available now through mid-January 2019. For more information, visit loewshotels.com. Also, be sure to check out these unique culinary experiences around the world.
