Cunard has announced the return of Michelin-starred Chef Michel Roux to Norway for another exclusive series of Le Gavroche at Sea residences in 2025. On board the Queen Anne and Queen Mary 2, Chef Roux will oversee four Le Gavroche residencies across four fjords voyages between April and August.

Fine Dining on Cunard

“We’re thrilled to continue our successful Le Gavroche at Sea residencies. Our guests expect exceptional experiences, and having one of the world’s most celebrated chefs on board to create special menus and host exclusive events is truly special,” said Katie McAlister, Cunard’s President, in a press statement.

Queen Mary 2 will host the first residence on its 7-night fjords sailing in April 2025. For five nights, Chef Roux will create a 5-course tasting menu at Le Gavroche at The Verandah. The residency continues aboard the Queen Anne at Le Gavroche at Sir Samuels for the fjords voyage in May 2025. Later in the summer, Chef Roux will return to the Queen Mary 2 before completing his Le Gavroche residencies on the Queen Anne

Le Gavroche at Sea reservations will be an additional charge for up to 60 guests in The Verandah, and up to 50 guests in Sir Samuels each evening.

“It is always a privilege to revive the essence of Le Gavroche, and I am thrilled to be collaborating with Cunard for a second series of takeovers next year,” said Chef Michel Roux, in a press statement. “This project is incredibly rewarding and allows me to craft signature menus that capture the spirit of adventure as well as the art of accessible fine dining. I am hugely excited to get back on board and showcase the beauty of Norwegian seafood to Cunard guests.”

Chef Roux is also introducing an elevated seafood concept on board both ships. Guests can indulge in Norwegian seafood nightly at The Champagne Bar on the Queen Mary 2 and the Carinthia Lounge on the Queen Anne, available on a walk-in basis. During each voyage, Chef Roux will also host a live cooking demonstration in the Royal Court Theatre and share stories with guests from his distinguished 40-plus-year career in the hospitality industry.
