Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s Howl-O-Scream Returns with New Terrors and Fan Favorites

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is back this fall with even more terrifying thrills—and discounted tickets for the brave.

Running select nights from Sept. 5 through Nov. 2, 2025, this year’s Howl-O-Scream promises a bigger, scarier lineup, including five haunted houses, featuring two brand-new experiences. Among them:

M.A.R.S. (Mars Alien Research Station), an all-new house is where space exploration takes a sinister turn. Guests are tasked with uncovering dark secrets—or risk becoming alien prey. The fan-favorite Stranglewood Estate returns, alongside a yet-to-be-revealed new haunted house.

This year’s Howl-O-Scream features five scare zones, with three debut themes joining popular returning zones like Sawgrass Slaughter and Ragnar’s Wrath. Multiple themed bars, perfect for a creepy cocktail between scares, and two live shows, including the high-energy Cirque X-Scream and the darkly theatrical The Reckoning.

For thrill-seekers looking to up the adrenaline, the park’s signature roller coasters will also be open for nighttime rides—including Iron Gwazi, Phoenix Rising, Cheetah Hunt and SheiKra. Guests can save up to 70 percent on tickets during the limited-time Sinister Sale.

Howl-O-Scream is an intense, adults-oriented event featuring graphic content not recommended for children. Costumes are not permitted.

Wild Oasis for the Whole Family

Wild Oasis at Jungala became Busch Gardens’ latest family-friendly zone, featuring a rainforest-themed environment that combined animal encounters with interactive climbing structures, splash zones and the new ride, Tree Top Drop. The area also included a scavenger hunt and hands-on play areas for younger visitors.
