Safari Tour in Namibia

Flash Tour USA is planning a 10-day FAM trip to Namibia for summer 2018.

The FAM tour will take place June 1-10 and will be priced at $1,465 per agent dbl. Agents will convene in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia, and will begin the trip with a city tour and a taste of its Afro-European cuisine. Agents will then depart for the Namib Desert, where some of the highest sand dunes on earth can be found in the Sesriem Canyon.

The group will then travel via the Kuiseb Moon Valley towards the Atlantic Ocean and the town of Swakopmund, a popular holiday destination with palm-lined streets and seaside promenades. After breakfast, a catamaran cruise will sail out to Pelican Point with the chance to encounter dolphins, whales, turtles and seals. Agents will then travel past Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain, into the Damaraland. One of the most geologically diverse areas in Africa, this environment is home to the rare desert elephant, the black rhino, and free-roaming antelope species. The tour will also visit Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage site where bushman painted over 2,500 pictures some 6,000 years ago.

The final part of the tour visits Etosha National Park, famous for its unique landscape and abundant wildlife. The first safari will explore the waterholes close to Okaukuejo and the Anderson gate. The following day will focus on big game viewing, with four of the Big Five located in the park: elephant, lion, leopard and rhino. Finally, the tour will travel farther south to Okonjima to visit the AfriCat Foundation, a non-profit committed to the long-term preservation of Namibia’s large carnivores.
