Sicily and the British Isles have been added to the roster of land excursions offered by Adventures by Disney. 

The family friendly Adventures by Disney Sicily Land Adventure incudes stopes at five of the seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Sicily. 

The eight-day, seven-night itinerary will feature stops in Palermo, Monreale, Agrigento, Piazza Armerina, Caltagirone, Siracusa, Mount Etna and Taormina. Experiences include a private guided tour of the 12th-century Monreale Cathedral and the largest theater in Italy, the Teatro Massimo. 

Guests will explore the Valley of Temples and the Neapolis Archaeological Park, learn ceramic painting in Caltagirone, and puppetry in the Teatro dei Pupi. Also included are tours of Mount Etna by four-wheel drive vehicles and a charted boat ride to Isola Bella in the Ionian Sea.

Adventures by Disney will offer 10 Sicily departures in 2023. Of these, three will be reserved for adult guests only and feature a scenic sunset cruise around the Island of Ortigia.

The best of the British Isles

The British Isles Land Adventure from Adventures by Disney will roam for 10 days through England, Ireland, and Scotland. Dublin, Belfast, the Antrim Coast, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London are on the itinerary.

Guests will learn how Irish whiskey and soda bread are made, drive the Antrim coast, and marvel at the Giant’s Causeway. The Glasgow itinerary includes a tour of the Royal Yacht Britannia, Edinburgh and Floors castles, and the Royal Mile. And in London the experience will include a high-speed boat ride on the Thames and a private viewing of the Royal Crown Jewels in the Tower of London.

Four of the nine scheduled 2023 British Isles Land Adventures will be adults-only. These will include a tour of the underground vaults of Old Town Edinburgh.

Also in 2023, Disney will resume its schedule of guide-led Private Adventures for small groups. The 11 itineraries in 2023 will include Australia, Costa Rica, Egypt, England and France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Peru, South Africa and Vietnam, and Laos and Cambodia.
