Royal Caribbean Group Matches Loyalty Status Across Brands

Royal Caribbean Group's new program extends across all three brands.

The Royal Caribbean Group has introduced a first for the cruise industry: it allows loyalty members of its three wholly-owned brands—Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea—to enjoy equivalent tier status across any of the group’s brands. This move is a significant step in the industry, positioning Royal Caribbean Group as the first major cruise company to implement loyalty status matching across its core brands.

“We strive to provide guests with experiences within our portfolio of brands that meet them for all of life’s moments,” said Jason Liberty, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group, in a press statement. “Each of our differentiated brands have passionate fans who take pride in the status they’ve achieved through repeat sailings. In a first for the cruise industry, our new Loyalty Status Match program rewards guests traveling across our brands, and this is one more step in our journey of transforming a vacation of a lifetime into a lifetime of vacations.”

With this program, clients who are members of Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society, Celebrity Cruises’ Captain’s Club and Silversea’s Venetian Society will have their loyalty recognized reciprocally, enhancing their ability to explore nearly 1,000 destinations on all seven continents with more than 50 ships. This development not only adds to the existing benefits for loyalty members but also opens up new avenues for your clients to experience the world.

Royal Caribbean Group’s ample portfolio offers a wide range of vacation options, from land-based adventures like Perfect Day at CocoCay and the Royal Beach Club collection to cruise experiences tailored for different market segments. Your clients can now choose to use their points on thrilling vacations with Royal Caribbean International, premium travel with Celebrity Cruises or ultra-luxury and expedition experiences with Silversea.

The Loyalty Status Match program recognizes guest loyalty across the Royal Caribbean Group’s fleet, rewarding your clients with seamless status recognition, onboard benefits and easy tier matching. Highlights of the program include:

  • Status Recognition: After enrolling in each brand’s program, members can receive a one-for-one status match across all three brands.
  • Onboard Benefits: When sailing with any sister brand, your clients will enjoy the onboard benefits corresponding to their equivalent tier status.
  • Tier Matching: Those enrolled in multiple loyalty programs will automatically have their status matched across brands within 7 days, ensuring appropriate loyalty recognition.
  • Enhanced Travel Experience: The status match allows guests to choose from a more diverse range of vacation experiences and destinations.

For instance, a Silversea’s Venetian Society member planning a trip with Celebrity Cruises can enroll in the Captain’s Club to receive Elite status once the loyalty accounts are linked.

The new onboard benefits for matched status members will begin with sailings departing from June 5, 2024.
