May 1 marks the beginning of National Travel Advisor Appreciation Month and in honor of the occasion, several members of the tourism community—hotels, resorts, tour companies and more—are showing their appreciation for their travel agent partners by offering bonus gift cards and special room rates, among other perks. Here is a sampling of offers to keep in mind this month.
AMResorts
AMResorts is celebrating Travel Advisor Appreciation Month with the second annual Amazing May campaign. This year, the campaign is extending special booking rates and launching two contests for travel agents.
With the help of special rates being offered all month, Master Agents can book a stay at any of 28 participating resorts across the Zoetry Wellness & Spa Resorts, and Secrets, Breathless, Dreams, Now, Reflect and Sunscape Resorts & Spas brands. These discounted rates can be applied for stays now through Dec. 22, 2019. In addition, advisors can participate in the Share Your Story contest in which they can share photos and short stories about a visit to any AMResorts property for a chance to be one of ten $500 winners. Agents can enter up to seven times, one entry per resort brand.
The second competition that’s part of the Amazing May campaign will reward the top agent with recognition on the Amazing May landing page, as well as a 5-night stay in a suite at a Secrets Resorts & Spas property. Agents can earn points in several ways: one point for each booking registered in AMRewards during the month of May, two points for booking selected resorts, and an additional point for taking the new Reflect Master Agent course.

Authentic Vacations and Avanti
Both Authentic Vacations and Avanti are offering gift cards to their travel advisor partners for May bookings.
For every Authentic Vacations booking made or reservation confirmed (minimum value of $5,000) by May 10, 2019, a $100 American Express gift card will be paid to the travel advisor in addition to their commission. Meanwhile, Avanti is offering a $25 gift card and reduced delivery and documentation fees for each online booking over $3,000 made now through May 31, 2019 with at least a deposit paid by the end of the May. To qualify for this offer, the booking must be made on Avanti’s travel agent portal.

Warwick Paradise Island – Bahamas
The adults-only, all-inclusive Warwick Paradise Island – Bahamas has rolled out the WPIB Travel Agents Incentive Program providing eligible travel professionals with incentives up to $65 per booking on top of regular commissions of up to 20 percent. Travel advisors must complete the WPIB Specialist training with the resort’s sales team to learn about the features of the resort and the incentive program.
Advisors can register for the training and incentive programs by e-mailing [email protected]. Once registered, agents will be contacted by a member of the sales department to conduct the training and gain access to a personalized form to log all new bookings. Client stays must be for a minimum of three nights in order to qualify for the bonus cash incentive. Direct bookings made via the resort’s website will earn advisors $30 for 3- to 4-night stays, $50 for 5- to 6-night stays, and $65 for 7-night stays or more.
