Pleasant Holidays and its luxury brand Journese announced the addition of a Cruise Vacation Protection Plan Plus to their vacation coverage product line. Exclusively for cruise package vacations, the new plan features comprehensive pre- and post-travel protection in addition to automatic commission protection for the travel advisor.

Just like the Protection Plan Plus for non-cruise vacation coverage, the Cruise Vacation Protection Plan Plus combines travel arrangement and waiver benefits for pre-departure coverage with post-departure travel protection coverage benefits. Pre-departure coverage includes price protection that guarantees the price of the cruise vacation, and a 1-time waiver of supplier fees finalized within one transaction or trip cancellation (benefits including cash reimbursement for all land, cruise and air cancellation fees for covered reasons, as well as cancel for any reason coverage). Post-departure travel protection coverage benefits include coverage for trip interruption, pre-existing medical condition exclusion, accident and sickness medical expense, emergency evacuation and repatriation of remains, baggage and personal effects, trip delay, missed connection, baggage delay, and accidental death and dismemberment, as well as on call 24-hour worldwide travel assistance services including travel, medical, business and concierge services.

Travel advisors receive 100 percent commission coverage for cancellations due to covered reasons and up to $100 pp coverage for cancellations due to non-covered reasons as detailed by Cruise Vacation Protection Plan Plus for bookings that have been paid in full at the time of cancellation. Cruise Vacation Protection Plan Plus benefits are administered by Trip Mate, Inc., and rates are based on tiered pricing that reflects the purchase price of the cruise package vacation.
