Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas to Become Waldorf Astoria

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts plans to convert the Mandarin Oriental on the Las Vegas Strip to the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas in August 2018. Waldorf Astoria will assume full operation of the property with plans to re-imagine and renovate the hotel with brand touches and improvements.

This will be the brand’s first property in the market. Guests can expect unforgettable experiences, including innovative dining concepts, spectacular views of The Strip from the hotel’s exclusive 23rd floor bar, helicopter rides, spa retreats and more.

“We are thrilled to announce the addition of a Waldorf Astoria in the western part of the U.S., and in the heart of such a dynamic, internationally beloved city like Las Vegas,” said Martin Rinck, global head, Luxury & Lifestyle Group, Hilton, in press material. “Las Vegas continues to be one of the most exciting and luxurious cities in the world and we have a real opportunity to introduce the Waldorf Astoria brand in this market, where so many of the city’s visitors seek the highly covetable, unforgettable experiences that are ingrained in the Waldorf Astoria way of life.”

The property is located near ARIA Resort & Casino , with its gaming facility, and sits near some of the city’s most exciting landmarks including the famed fountains of Bellagio, and is just steps away from the entertainment hub featuring ARIA, The Park and the 20,000 seat T-Mobile Arena.
