Baccarat Hotel Rome’s debut is scheduled for late 2025, following a complete restoration that will crystallize the landmark property’s classic glamour, while giving it a crisp, contemporary edge. The new property will have detailed finishes and flourishes, enveloped in a gleam that revels in the space’s former beauty while declaring its own. Liza Masias, Boscalt Hospitality co-founder, made clear the pure intentions behind Hotel Majestic’s reincarnation, highlighting the efforts of Baccarat’s design team to “…redefine and reposition the historic property with a contemporary flair that pays respectful tribute to the cultural and artistic heritage of an ancient, yet modern, imperial city.”
On the ground, guests will be able to take in the buzz of Piazza Barberini, which the hotel overlooks, at the main restaurant’s broad terrace. Those looking for a bird’s-eye view can catch one at the rooftop bar. Other amenities include a full-service spa, a fitness facility, and decked-out meeting and conference spaces. Off the property grounds, the iconic Spanish Steps unfurl themselves, only a 10-minute walk away.
Via Veneto, the famous street on which the upcoming hotel was originally established, often bustled with the likes of Sofia Loren and Cary Grant, Coco Chanel and Tennessee Williams.
