Weddings & Romance by the Sea
Florida’s Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa in the north end of the Palm Beaches delivers…whether your clients are looking for an idyllic destination wedding spot or seeking out some romantic time together.
This semi-secluded, low-key, four-star resort is made for romance, with an attentive and friendly staff, intimate nooks, and a stunning location. The oceanfront resort, with 168 island-inspired accommodations, including 40 suites, offers lovely spots for saying “I do” and for cuddling together.
Take, for example, the Sand Dune venue, an intimate onsite setting that screams weddings and which accommodates up to 150 guests. When starting their new life together, couples face the ocean while guests occupy an outdoor private area shaded by beautiful sea grape plants. The resort also offers 12,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor function space that are also ideal choices for the ceremony and celebration, including the Sailfish Ballroom, for up to 250 guests; the Marlin Room, perfect for intimate wedding receptions with a wall of windows; and the Terrace, located directly next to the resort’s tropical wildlife preserve, and which connects to a covered verandah.
“Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa is the perfect environment for wedding guests to spend the weekend together,” says Brynn Dougherty, the resort’s director of events. “Our tropical setting, coupled with our outstanding culinary team, has allowed us to celebrate over 120 weddings a year at our resort.”
Speaking of culinary prowess, during our visit we feasted on appetizers such as lobster crab cakes and grilled calamari with shaved fennel, roasted yellow and red beets, baby greens and goat cheese, plus main courses such as seared jumbo scallops, yellowtail snapper, NY strip steaks and a roasted rack of lamb. Imagine dining al fresco on that delicious feast under a full moon and the breeze lightly caressing you.
Couples can explore the surroundings together by strolling along the natural dunes on the largest stretch of secluded beachfront in Palm Beach County right in front of the resort—the resort offers beach service—or by being active and diving into the array of watersports available near the resort.
There are various commissionable activities available to couples looking for an active/eco getaway. For instance, you can book your clients on a kayaking and/or paddleboarding experience as there are 39 miles of water trails to enjoy. Blueline Surf & Paddle Company can set clients up to go on their own or tour with a guide. “We also can set up bridesmaids events for both paddleboarding and kayaking, and/or we partner with PonTiki [to offer] a bamboo party barge for those who don’t want to paddleboard/kayak or only want to do it one way,” says Kimberly Depasquale, Blueline’s marketing manager.
Seeing the waterways via a PonTiki party barge can be scheduled by agents as well, whether it’s a small wedding group or a couple staying at the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa who just want a day out on the water. Guests can sightsee, swim, take advantage of the onboard slide and raft, go snorkeling, or hit golf balls off the onboard tee. Moonlight and sunset cruises are also available.
Jupiter is also known for its great fishing, and the hotel can also arrange deep-sea fishing charters, scuba, and snorkeling excursions. Those water activities can be rounded out by a round of golf at nearby courses.
On site, the Opal Spa offers a myriad of services, including the Signature Perfect Massage, which allows guests to work with the spa artisan to pick the type of treatment that best suits them—80 minutes of pure bliss! After a full day exploring, recommend clients sit down for a romantic dinner at Sinclair’s Ocean Grill, the resort’s signature restaurant.
Couples and wedding guests can get to the resort pretty easily, as the resort is conveniently located near to two airports—just 17 miles north of PBI (Palm Beach) and 55 miles north of FLL (Fort Lauderdale).
