Cirque du Soleil is returning to South Florida with its latest show, ECHO. This will be Cirque du Soleil’s official return to South Florida since 2019. Beyond being immersed in the show’s vibrant characters, inspiring music, astounding lights and projections, and never-before-seen acrobatic feats, attendees will also have an opportunity to win an all-expenses paid trip of a lifetime for two adults to Costa Rica.
ECHO explores the artful balance of the world around us, nature and animals, and emphasizes the influence we can have in creating a better future and world we want to live in. This aligns perfectly with Costa Rica’s “Pura Vida” way of life as the destination boasts a profound connection to nature and sustainability. More than a quarter of the country’s land is covered by natural protected environments, and it houses an estimated six percent of the world’s biodiversity.
The big top show will take place at 1/ST’s Gulfstream Park from Feb. 22 to April 7, 2024, marking the first time a Big Top show comes to Broward County. Fueled by the power of change, the hope of the youth, and the value of empathy, ECHO follows an inquisitive young woman named FUTURE as she wanders into a fantasy world that explores our sacred bond with animals and nature. When FUTURE and her best friend the DOG encounter a mysterious CUBE, they quickly learn how their actions have the power to shape this world, and if we come together, we can rebuild our planet to create the world we all want to live in. Cirque du Soleil’s 20th Big Top show brings bold new visuals and a unique aesthetic on tour.
Exploring Costa Rica Through the Cirque du Soleil Lens
The partnership between Costa Rica and Cirque du Soleil had the entertainment company’s content production team traveling through various regions of Costa Rica to film a bonus episode of their Cirque RAW series, “PURA VIDA.” The content showcases Cirque du Soleil talent, in the raw, in Costa Rica and captures the destination’s true essence and breathtaking landscapes.
Before the Cirque du Soleil show, visitors can enjoy Gulfstream Park itself, with Thoroughbred horse racing, a casino with Vegas-style slot machines and video tables, and The Village at Gulfstream Park offering destination retailers, signature restaurants, outdoor cafés and unique entertainment options.
