United Airlines Launches Flights from Newark to Dominica

Starting Feb. 15, United Airlines will introduce weekly non-stop flights from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM) in Dominica. The new route is a convenient, time-saving journey for both first-time and seasoned visitors.

What This Means for Travelers

  • Enhanced Accessibility: Skip the layovers from the northeastern U.S. directly to the island.
  • Reduced Travel Time: Maximize vacation time with fewer hours spent in transit.
  • Convenient Scheduling: Saturday departures align with standard vacation plans.

Boosting Tourism

This new route is a significant step toward the island’s goal of increasing accessibility and welcoming 500,000 annual visitors by 2030. The Dominican government has invested in infrastructure upgrades, including enhancements to Douglas-Charles Airport, to facilitate this game-changing connection.

Tourism Minister Denise Charles-Pemberton celebrated the launch, calling it “a historic milestone for Dominica’s tourism industry.” The non-stop service underscores Dominica’s growing appeal as a must-visit destination for travelers seeking pristine nature, vibrant culture, and unique adventures.
