Tauck has unveiled two new tours for 2025: a 9-day exploration of Colombia—a first for the tour operator in this destination—and an entirely family-focused adventure in Japan—also a first.
Tauck to Colombia & Japan
The Colombia itinerary, priced from $8,490 per person, double occupancy, plus airfare, includes stays in Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena. Highlights include visits to the Gold Museum, Botero Museum, Salt Cathedral, Comuna 13, Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas and a sunset cruise along Cartagena Bay.
The 10-day Japan family tour, priced from $8,990 per person, triple occupancy, plus airfare, starts with a 3-night stay in Tokyo and includes visits to Hakone, Hiroshima and Kyoto. Activities include a rickshaw ride, a ninja experience, a sushi-making lunch, a pirate boat cruise, visits to temples and shrines, a tea ceremony, a calligraphy lesson and Taiko drumming.
Both tours include accommodations, meals, on-tour transportation, gratuities, sightseeing, airport transfers, luggage handling and taxes. In 2025, Tauck will operate 12 departures of the Colombia tour and nine departures of the Japan family tour.
Tauck’s bookings for its existing Japan tours have seen significant growth, with Cruising the Land of the Rising Sun up by mid-double digits and Essence of Japan up nearly triple digits compared to pre-pandemic levels. The new tours coincide with the U.S.-Japan Tourism Year 2024 and increased recognition of Japan as a top travel destination.
