Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is gearing up for the summer 2025 travel season with newly renovated ships and diverse itineraries.

NCL’s Alaska offerings for summer 2025 feature the youngest fleet in the region, with five ships sailing from convenient departure ports in Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, British Columbia. Three recently renovated Breakaway-Plus class ships – Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Joy – will cruise the Last Frontier through October. These vessels, custom-built for Alaska cruising, boast expansive observation lounges and the Waterfront, an outdoor promenade enhancing guests’ connection to the sea.

NCL’s Ships Kick it Up a Notch

Fresh from its 2025 renovation, Norwegian Bliss introduces Horizon Park, a versatile outdoor venue featuring lawn-style games and reclining loungers for optimal views. Sister ships Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Joy also showcase refreshed spaces, including the adults-only Spice H2O area and an expanded Thermal Suite in the Mandara Spa and Salon, respectively.

NCL offers the most departure sailings from Seattle this summer, with Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Encore providing round-trip, 7-day cruises every Saturday or Sunday. These itineraries include stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Sitka and Icy Strait Point, Alaska, as well as Victoria, British Columbia. Norwegian Joy offers nine and 10-day itineraries from Seattle with up to seven days in port for those seeking extended exploration.

Of note is NCL’s Cruisetour option, allowing clients to dive deeper into Alaska’s interior. This package includes visits to Denali National Park, a riverboat cruise in Fairbanks and a tour of the Iditarod sled dog musher’s camp.

In Europe, NCL has over 150 unique itineraries across eight ships, including the newly renovated Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Epic, and the fleet’s newest additions, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva. These port-intensive sailings average 10 hours at each stop, immersing guests in European culture and history.

Norwegian Breakaway now features the Silver Screen Bistro, an immersive movie and dining venue, and Horizon Park, offering panoramic ocean views. Norwegian Epic, which completed its dry dock on May 8, 2025, boasts a reimagined Kids’ Aqua Park and an expanded Vibe Beach Club. Both ships will sail various 9- to 12-day cruises from Rome, Barcelona and Venice, visiting iconic Mediterranean destinations.

Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva will offer Baltic, Northern Europe and Greek Isles cruises, calling at ports such as Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm, Berlin, Amsterdam and Brussels.

NCL has Caribbean and Bermuda sailings aboard its newest ship, Norwegian Aqua, for family-friendly summer vacations. This vessel introduces cool attractions like the Aqua Slidecoaster and the Glow Court, a digital sports complex that transforms into a nightclub. Norwegian Aqua will offer round-trip, 7-day Caribbean cruises from Orlando (Port Canaveral) before transitioning to 5- and 7-day Bermuda voyages from New York City from August through October 2025.

Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Jewel will also provide 7-day Bermuda cruises from New York and Boston, respectively, featuring overnight calls in Royal Naval Dockyard.

Of note is NCL’s More At Sea program. This package includes unlimited open bar with premium brands, specialty dining meals, high-speed Wi-Fi minutes and $50 shore excursion credits per port. The offer also includes free airfare for the second guest, and kids sail free on select sailings, providing savings of over 75 percent.
