Hotel Xcaret Mexico is about to undergo a massive expansion, with a $700 million investment to expand its multigenerational appeal by the summer of 2025. This development will double the hotel’s capacity to 1,800 guest rooms across 10 Casas, each themed around Mayan symbols and tailored to specific age groups.
“At Hotel Xcaret Mexico, we believe true luxury is best experienced with family, and our 2025 new era is designed to create unforgettable moments that transcend generations. We want every family member, from the youngest to the eldest, to find a space they can enjoy together and build lasting memories,” said Lizeth Alvarez Gorosave, Chief Commercial Officer at Grupo Xcaret, in a press statement. “This new era not only reinforces our commitment to the highest standards of excellence but also reaffirms our dedication to creating unique, unforgettable moments in a truly unique setting.”

The expansion includes dedicated Casas for families with children aged 0-9, 10-12, and 13-17, as well as adults-only Casas featuring private rooftops and restaurants. The hotel will increase its pool count to 16, including four rooftop pools and five new waterslides.

New entertainment options will cater to various age groups, featuring a kids’ hotelito, a lunateca, a teen club and a 24-hour restaurant-movie theater called Xinema. The Muluk Spa will introduce family-focused wellness experiences alongside an adults-only area.

The brand’s famous All-Fun Inclusive concept, which includes unlimited access to eight parks, tours and Xcaret Xailing, will expand to include excursions to Cozumel and Isla Mujeres. Culinary offerings will double to 20 signature dining experiences, including the Michelin-starred Ha restaurant led by Chef Carlos Gaytán. Celebrity chef Paco Mendez, known for his Michelin-starred COME in Barcelona, will also contribute to the culinary program.

The new age-specific accommodations and activities provide advisors with opportunities to create tailored family vacations, while the adults-only areas ensure options for couples or adult groups seeking a more exclusive experience. Plus, the increased dining options, including celebrity chef collaborations, can be a strong selling point for food-oriented travelers.
