Ananda in the Himalayas is expanding its integrative healing experiences by incorporating sound healing and mantra chanting into its regular wellness offerings.
The retreat, known for its personalized approach to wellness, blends ancient traditions with modern holistic practices. Guests can now explore inner clarity, emotional release and spiritual renewal through sound-based therapies. In April 2025, Ananda hosted a dedicated Vedic Mantra and Sound Healing Retreat, which received positive feedback and high participation rates.
Weekly Sound Healing at Ananda
Weekly immersive sound baths are now available, led by skilled practitioners using Himalayan singing bowls, gongs and crystal instruments. These sessions are complemented by guided mantra chanting, introducing sacred Vedic sounds that aim to align the nervous system and support emotional resilience. The offerings are designed to cater to both novice and experienced wellness seekers.
Ananda’s approach uses sound and the subsequent silence as therapeutic tools, aiming to dissolve tension and induce a state of inner peace. The sessions incorporate vocal toning, chakra-aligned frequencies and intentional silence, supporting healing across physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions.
Mantra chanting, a key component of Ananda’s spiritual awakening framework, includes sacred recitations for deep healing. These guided sessions are designed to create measurable shifts in energy and awareness, potentially enhancing clarity, focus and emotional resilience.
Set against the backdrop of the Himalayan foothills, these sound and mantra offerings are integrated into Ananda’s broader commitment to healing and self-discovery. They complement the retreat’s wellness programs, drawing from Vedic philosophy, yogic breathwork and meditative practices.
Of note is the limited-time Summer Wellness Offer, available for stays between June 1 and July 31, 2025. The resort is located on a 100-acre former Palace Estate of the Maharaja of Tehri-Garhwal, and has 70 deluxe rooms, five suites and three villas, all offering views of the Ganges River and the mountainside.
