Lip Smacking Foodie Tours has announced a new Chinatown Speakeasy Lip Smacking Tour that takes in three hidden gems in the Las Vegas Chinatown district that visitors might not find on their own.

Chinatown in Las Vegas is a melting pot of cuisines offering more than 150 restaurants ranging from mom-and-pop, hole-in-the-wall outlets to kitschy bars and upscale restaurants helmed by some of the city’s most renowned chefs. As well as the breadth of Asian cuisines on offer, visitors can also discover Persian, French, Spanish and Mediterranean flavors.

The two-hour Chinatown Speakeasy Lip Smacking Tour starts at Más Por Favor, a Mexican taqueria that won the “Best Tacos in Vegas’’ award from Las Vegas Weekly. By day, an unassuming family-friendly restaurant, but at night guests in the know can access a tunnel with a hidden door that leads to a secret tequila bar and lounge done up in blood-red roses and eerie skull decor. As well as live music, guests can enjoy a Smoke and Berries tequila cocktail made with strawberries and blueberries; steak finished with truffle and parmesan; and roasted elotes dusted with crushed Flaming Hot Cheetos.

Next is a visit to the world-famous Golden Tiki, a kitsch Polynesian-themed bar that has drawn celebrities such as Bono, The Edge, Rod Stewart, and Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul. Amid flamboyant tiki decor such as stuffed parrots, pirate figures with eye patches, animated skeletons and walls of shrunken heads, guests can enjoy hoisin-glazed char siu ribs and double-stacked coconut shrimp sliders with wasabi mayo. A flight of cocktails will showcase the bar’s spin on three tiki classics: the famous Mai Tai, created by Trader Vic’s in 1944; the Painkiller, a pineapple and coconut-forward rum drink originating in the British Virgin Islands; and the Piranha Punch, so called because its splash of Fassionola fruit syrup evokes the image of bloody waters after a piranha attack.

The final stop on the tour is a visit to GYU+ Social Lounge, a popular sandwich shop by day, which transforms into an intimate Japanese-style speakeasy at night, featuring a ceiling decorated with pink cherry blossoms. The Tokyo-inspired nightspot offers rum cocktails with mango and passion fruit, as well as pork and chicken skewers grilled over Japanese binchotan charcoal, and tataki beef finished with shiso chimichurri. The tour concludes with a dessert sampler by the restaurant’s sister bakery, Moignet Café, that will include its signature moignet, a unique French beignet made with Japanese mochi, plus other sweet creations.

The Chinatown Speakeasy Lip Smacking Tour is $99 per person. The price includes all signature dishes, choice of cocktails or mocktails, as well as all taxes and gratuities. Guests must be 21+ years with valid ID.
