Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, and set on 256 acres of rolling hills, fragrant fields and woodlands, Eupepsia Wellness Resort offers an emphasis on nature and locally sourced foods. In fact, the award-winning, 22-room boutique resort boasts its very own on-site Wellness Farm and recently introduced agritourism programs.
According to Shivani Schneider, Eupepsia Wellness Resort’s co-founder, “As we continue to expand our Wellness Farm, we combine the principles of wellness with regenerative farming to create a ground-breaking approach that provides guests with an integrative experience centered on prevention, plus maintaining and improving physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.”
To further the benefits of its farm-to-table approach, Eupepsia has, in partnership with the government of Bland County, Virginia, launched a new campaign under the theme of “The Taste of Wellness with the Goodness of Nature.” The campaign is centered on immersive agritourism experiences and hands-on educational programs at the Farm. Visitors will be able to experience the working farm’s many activities including tending to the on-property cows, goats, sheep, chicken and bees; touring the farm’s greenhouses that produce a variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs; and witnessing their sustainable farming methods that produce the plant-based offerings served at all meals.
Programs and Packages at this Virginia Wellness Haven
While the majority of guests are solo travelers, the resort also caters to various adult guest profiles including couples and groups of up to 20.
Geared to various goals, signature retreat packages offered include Ayurvedic Rejuvenation; Weight Loss; Fitness & Recovery; Healthy Detox; and Relaxation and Revitalization. All are flexible with regard to dates, and are available for both solo travelers and groups. A 3-night minimum stay is required with all-inclusive prices from $1,700 to $2,500 for the three nights and depending on the wellness program selected.
When it comes to personalized programs, Schneider says that, “Based on the initial assessment, we can customize every aspect of our guests’ wellness programs, from the type of food tailored to each person’s body type, to the choice of fitness activities, healing therapies or herbal oils used for those therapies.”
When it comes to enjoying authentic local experiences, fitness-minded guests can head outdoors for guided hikes along one or more of the seven trails located on and around the property. They can also use one of the resort’s available bikes to cycle up Big Walker Mountain for a panoramic view of neighboring states. Canoeing, kayaking, pedal boating and walking meditation at the onsite labyrinth garden are other available fitness-in-nature options.
Other activities offered by the resort include fitness classes, guided “meditation in motion” yoga sessions and treatments in the Ayurvedic-based spa.
In recognition of the boutique resorts’ highly personalized brand of wellness, awards include being named a top U.S. Wellness Retreat for 2024 by LuxLife and World Spa Awards and, for the sixth consecutive year, a recipient of USA Today Readers’ Choice Awards.
On a final note Schneider says, “At Eupepsia, we want to answer the wellness needs of today and tomorrow and help people rediscover a way of living where high-quality and bio-individual food, adapted to each season, is at the heart of their wellness.”
