Delta Air Lines will add to its portfolio of international routes with never-before-operated service to Auckland, New Zealand, from Los Angeles beginning this fall. Delta will be the only U.S. carrier to offer nonstop service between Los Angeles and Auckland.
Daily flights between New Zealand’s largest city and Los Angeles will begin Oct. 28 on an Airbus A350-900 aircraft. This new destination will complement the airline’s current service from LAX to Sydney, where it operates 10 flights per week in the winter and daily service to Tokyo-Haneda.
This service joins other new Los Angeles service to Tahiti, Paris and London-Heathrow. Delta operates more than 150 daily flights from LAX to 53 destinations across the globe as the airport’s leading premium global carrier.
“LAX continues to grow its global network of destinations that are connecting Angelenos to every corner of the globe, and Delta’s addition of nonstop service from Los Angeles to New Zealand is in lockstep with the airline’s commitment to expand and improve service to our region,” said Justin Erbacci, CEO, Los Angeles World Airports, in a press release statement. “Coupled with Delta’s international additions to Sydney and Tahiti, this is another exciting result of the ongoing and strong collaboration between LAX and Delta Air Lines as we connect more people across the Pacific and beyond.”

Delta Terminal at LAX Continues Transformation
Delta continues to transform the airport experience at LAX, debuting the first two major phases of the brand-new terminal last year: the headhouse and the T3 facility. This spring, the west headhouse will open featuring a dedicated Delta One check-in area. Additionally, the first-of-its-kind Delta One Club will open its doors in 2024, connect to the existing Terminal 3 Club. When the Delta Sky Way at LAX project is finished this year, Terminals 2 and 3 will be a consolidated, 1.2-million-sq.-ft., 27-gate complex, featuring a quick airside connector to the Tom Bradley International Terminal, eliminating the need to bus between terminals.
