There’s a chic new boutique hotel set to open its doors next week in Baja California Sur—Paradero Todos Santos. This stylish bohemian getaway is the ideal recommendation for clients looking for something a little less cookie-cutter and more locally inspired.

Eighty percent landscape and 20 percent construction project, Paradero Todos Santos features 35 suites situated within the Le Mesa farming community and an agricultural area comprising more than a dozen family-owned farms. Details with a sense of place include an onsite 100,000-sq.-ft. botanical garden with 60 endemic species; artisan-made furniture from Mexico; suspended “star nets” that offer high-altitude views of the surrounding farmlands, mountains and ocean; the below-ground Ojo de Agua Spa, inspired by a secret watering hole in Todos Santos; and an open-fire kitchen with a traditional Oaxacan clay oven.

Located in Baja California Sur, in the town of Todos Santos—a charming, colorful, laid-back destination that’s about an one’s-hour drive from San Jose del Cabo Airport—the property is the first for the Paradero Hotels brand. The vision of Pablo Carmona and Josh Kremer, Mexican entrepreneurs and financiers, Paradero Hotels is set to expand throughout additional pristine destinations in Mexico as well as North America. The Todos Santos property, they say, is “rooted in community, brimming with adventure, and ripe with sensory delight.”

Baja California SurAccommodations come in a trio of categories:

  • With some offering views of the farming fields that encircle the property, and others looking out to the mountainous desert, the 640-sq.-ft. Garden Suites boast sprawling outdoor terraces that extend into the landscape and feature either hammocks or soaking tubs; bathrooms feature indoor-outdoor showers with perforated privacy screens.
  • With their panoramic rooftops, the 780-sq.-ft. Rooftop Suites have built-in suspended “star nets,” offering high-altitude views of the surrounding farmlands, mountains, and ocean (guests might even spot a whale). Like their ground-floor counterparts, Rooftop Suites feature plush day beds and showers that open up to the outdoors. Some also come with outdoor fire pits and telescopes, allowing guests to make the most of Todos Santos’ starry nights.
  • The 2674-sq.-ft. Master Casita Suites, with 360-degree views of farming fields, mountainous desert, and the ocean, are located on a corner lot and spread over three floors. The ground floor has been designed to feel like a luxury residence, featuring a kitchen and a spacious dining area, in addition to a living room with a sofa bed that can sleep two. The second floor is home to the master bedroom and bathroom, the latter of which has an indoor-outdoor shower and panoramic views of the Las Palmas oasis. The rooftop marries the best amenities of the Garden and Rooftop suites, with a suspended “star net” and a corner plunge pool that drops off into the landscape.

Baja California SurIf they can tear themselves away from those gorgeous accommodations to explore Baja California Sur, your clients can opt for a Surf Session; Guided Hiking experience; or Beach Setup. The latter is over the top with a private drive for your clients and up to three friends to San Pedrito or Las Palmas beach, where they’ll be set you up with all the necessary beachside essentials (umbrella, chairs, cooler, towels, coconut water), and a radio that they can use to coordinate pick-up and other communication.
