Princess Cruises has announced an order for three new Voyager Class ships, marking the line’s largest and most advanced build to date. The agreement with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri expands a long partnership between the companies and reinforces Carnival Corporation’s investment in next-generation cruise technology. The new vessels are scheduled for delivery in late 2035, 2038 and 2039.

“The Voyager class will delight both our loyal guests and attract the next generation of Princess guests. We have been leveraging extensive customer and agent research to strike the right balance between evolving our proven winners and introducing new concepts and partnerships grounded in what matters to our current and future guests,” said Gus Antorcha, Princess Cruises President, in a press statement. “From exceptional dining and inviting pool environments to elevated entertainment and beautifully reimagined spaces throughout the ship, we are leaving no area untouched as we thoughtfully evolve the Princess experience.”

Princess Ups the Cruise Ante

Each of the 183,000-gross-ton ships will accommodate approximately 4,700 guests and continue the evolution of Princess Cruises’ design. Built at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone shipyard, the Voyager Class will expand on the Sphere Class platform introduced with Sun Princess and Star Princess. Guests can expect redesigned outer decks and refreshed Piazza layouts that reflect the line’s global reach. While details of onboard features will be shared later, the ships are expected to blend familiar venues with newly conceived spaces to enhance the overall cruise experience.

The Voyager Class ships will be dual-fuel powered, operating primarily on Liquefied Natural Gas. LNG remains the cleanest available marine fuel option and offers significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions compared with conventional fuel. The design underscores Princess Cruises’ commitment to sustainable innovation and operational efficiency. These vessels will also represent Carnival Corporation’s 19th, 20th and 21st LNG-powered ships within its global fleet.

For Princess Cruises, the expansion strengthens a fleet strategy aligned with Carnival Corporation’s broader goal of meeting growing demand for cruise vacations, one of the fastest-growing segments of the global leisure market. In total, Carnival Corporation has seven additional ships under construction, scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2033.

Cheers to That

Princess Cruises will roll out its new beverage identity, POURS, across its fleet this summer. The refreshed program replaces the Love Line Collection and brings cocktails, wines, beers and zero-proof selections together under one brand. The line describes it as a complete redesign aimed at giving guests more ways to explore both traditional and alcohol-free options.

POURS features two main collections—Spirits and Zero-Proof & Nonalcoholic. The Spirits section includes founder-led labels such as Pantalones Organic Tequila by Camila and Matthew McConaughey, Slainte Irish Whiskey by Liev Schreiber, Meili Vodka by Jason Momoa, Archer Roose wines from co-owner Elizabeth Banks, Hampton Water Rose by Jon Bon Jovi and Jesse Bongiovi and Melorosa Wines by Jason Aldean, Kasi Wicks and Chuck Wicks. In the alcohol-free category, offerings include Kylie Minogue’s Sparkling Rose, among others.

Within the Zero-Proof creations, Princess introduces wellness-forward drinks made with ingredients linked to relaxation or focus.

Additional nonalcoholic specialties include Passion Fruit Margarita, Tropical Margarita, Ambar Maria and Cafe con Banana. POURS is available through the cruise line’s Premier and Plus packages and in multiple onboard venues.
