Holland America Line is celebrating a century of Caribbean cruising with limited-time anniversary offers honoring its first voyage to the region in 1926. When Veendam II sailed from New York that February, the company became one of the first to schedule regular Caribbean itineraries, setting the stage for a century of warm-weather voyages. To mark the milestone, bookings made from Feb. 3–9, 2026, on select Caribbean departures through Apr. 30 qualify for up to 50 percent off fares, Free Fares for Kids ages 18 and under on select itineraries and an onboard credit of 50 dollars per guest, totaling one hundred dollars for two travelers.

“Our first Caribbean voyage in 1926 marked a defining moment for Holland America Line and for the evolution of modern cruise travel,” said Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line. “As we celebrate 100 years, we wanted to offer something both meaningful and memorable — $100 for 100 years, with added ways for guests to save. It’s our way of honoring the milestone while inviting travelers to experience what sets us apart in the Caribbean: perfectly sized ships designed for guests to relax and connect, a premium onboard experience and time ashore at our private island RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay.”

Holland America Line Caribbean Sailings

The anniversary offer applies to multiple sailings departing from Fort Lauderdale and Miami, including itineraries aboard Koningsdam, Eurodam and Zuiderdam. These include a 10-day journey on Koningsdam to the Greater Antilles, Belize and Mexico, departing Feb. 25; a 7-day Western Caribbean sailing on Eurodam, leaving Mar. 22; and a 10-day Southern Caribbean voyage on Zuiderdam to Amber Cove and the ABC Islands departing Mar. 25. Additional options include a 12-day Eastern Caribbean sailing aboard Koningsdam visiting the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, and 7-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries on Eurodam and Zuiderdam calling at Amber Cove and the Bahamas.

Holland America Line’s Caribbean presence goes way back to its groundbreaking inaugural sailing on Feb. 18, 1926, a 26-day route visiting Havana, Kingston, Colon, Cartagena, San Juan and Bermuda. Throughout the late 1920s and 1930s, itineraries expanded as demand grew, adding ships such as Veendam, Statendam and Volendam. In 1938, the company took its first guests to Panama, followed by new ports across the region over subsequent decades, including Aruba in 1959 and St. Maarten in 1964. The opening of Half Moon Cay, Holland America Line’s private island in the Bahamas, in 1997 further strengthened its Caribbean footprint. By the 1970s, Florida—particularly Fort Lauderdale—became Holland America Line’s principal gateway.
