Shake Off the Chill Saint Lucia

A second JetBlue nonstop connection between Boston Logan International Airport and Saint Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport is set to operate each Saturday from Feb. 15 through Apr. 25, 2026, expanding winter and early spring access from New England to the Caribbean. The new service departs Boston at 11:40 a.m., arriving in Saint Lucia at 5:35 p.m., and adds flexibility for travelers returning northbound with two afternoon departures from the island—one at 3:20 p.m. and another at 6:40 p.m. The schedule aligns with the existing year-round Saturday nonstop, increasing weekly capacity on the route and supporting travel demand to Saint Lucia during the high season.

“The added JetBlue flight means that vacationers from Boston and the greater Massachusetts area will have twice as many options for exploring the warmth of Saint Lucia this winter,” said Louis Lewis, CEO of Saint Lucia Tourism Authority. “With one-way fares starting under $200 and our winter hotel and villa deals, there’s never been a better time to discover the island.”

Flights continue operating under JetBlue’s standard service codes, with the morning BOS–UVF option departing at 8:16 a.m. and arriving at 2 p.m. and the noon flight following the new schedule. Return segments depart UVF in the midafternoon and evening to accommodate different itineraries.

American Debuts New Eats in the Sky

February marks a new era for American Airlines’ inflight dining, as it refreshes its inflight food and beverage lineup with several new additions designed to broaden customer choice across cabins and routes. For the first time, the carrier will serve a non-alcoholic craft beer onboard—the Free Wave Hazy IPA from Athletic Brewing Company. The product, already featured in select airport lounges, joins the in-flight menu as part of a growing interest in low- and no-alcohol offerings. Alongside the new IPA, travelers will find expanded drink selections, including Q Margarita Mix paired with Socorro Tequila, Q Tonic Water, Q Club Soda and Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix. The introduction of LaCroix Sparkling Water in Lime and Berry flavors reflects continued attention to customer demand for recognizable, calorie-free options.

In-flight dining also gets a seasonal refresh. Beginning in February, travelers in the Main Cabin on select flights across the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico can purchase a chicken salad and Boursin cheese wrap served with coleslaw and a lemon shortbread cookie. Those flying in Main Cabin or Premium Economy on international routes will find reworked meal options, including barbecue chicken with grits, beef fajita bowls, hoisin- or chimichurri-chicken and vegetable yakiniku noodles. Routes to Asia will feature additional menu items, including Korean barbecue noodles, beef bibimbap and dakdoritang braised chicken. American continues integrating tap-to-pay and mileage redemption options for food and beverage purchases.

Happy Birthday, U.S.A.!

As the U.S. prepares to mark its 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026, Airlines for America (A4A) has launched a year-long marketing campaign, “Red, Flight & Blue—Celebrating America 250,” spotlighting the people, innovations and milestones that shaped U.S. aviation history.

Rolling out across social media, blogs, video and digital platforms, the campaign will serve as a national countdown to America’s semiquincentennial—while also reinforcing aviation’s role in connecting the country for more than a century.

A4A President and CEO Chris Sununu says the anniversary is a natural moment to reflect on how far the industry has come.

“Aviation was born in the United States, so it’s only fitting that on our country’s 250th anniversary, we recognize the men and women who helped us soar to new heights through their vision, determination and ingenuity in addition to the one million airline employees who are leading us into the future,” said Sununu, in a media statement.

On an average day, U.S. airlines operate more than 27,000 flights, carrying 2.7 million passengers and 61,000 tons of cargo worldwide.
The initiative builds on A4A’s existing Red, Flight & Blue program, which highlights airline benefits for military members and their families.
