With the ever-changing nature of the world’s hotel and resort landscape, it can be hard to keep up with all of your client’s options, but from the tranquil beaches of Jamaica to the opulence of Dubai, we’re bringing you a few of the new properties worth keeping your eye on.

4. S Hotel Jamaica

On Jan. 27, 2019, Montego Bay welcomed S Hotel Jamaica to its shores. The contemporary but distinctly Jamaican property features 120 guestrooms, locally made artwork, a spa, gym, and cafe, plus an international restaurant and a pool with swim-out cabanas. One highlight of the property is the Sky Deck, which is exclusive to Sky Club Suite guests. Boasting a rooftop location with a glass-enclosed pool surrounded by cabanas and loungers, guests can retreat to the Sky Deck for cocktails and tapas overlooking the beach and the central pool. For those looking to relax with a massage, facial or other spa treatment, the Irie Baths and Spa embraces Jamaican heritage with a holistic approach to wellness. The spa features four treatment rooms and subterranean plunge pools with varying temperatures reminiscent of ancient baths, offering kinetic energy therapy.

Safari company Natural Selection recently announced the opening of Safari House in Namibia. The new property, opening April 15, 2019, is a traditional Namibian farmhouse located in the heart of the Etosha Heights Private Reserve. The house sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms and welcomes children of all ages. There is a pool for cooling off after dusty game drives and a water hole in front of the house, affording guests even more opportunities for wildlife viewing. Meals are homemade; and a highlight of a visit to Safari House is the traditional Namibian braai (BBQ) cooked in front of the guests. Since the house is booked on an exclusive basis for guests, a private guide and vehicle is provided with game drives tailored to guests’ exact needs and interests.
