Rail Europe and Eurail are asking travel advisors to inspire others to travel with the new Eurail Global Pass by planning their own ideal trip through the My Dream Itinerary contest. The top four advisors with the best itineraries will win a mini-FAM following the route designed by the overall contest winner.
From the coasts of Ireland to the spice bazaars of Istanbul and many places in between, the new Eurail Global Pass connects travelers to 31 European countries by rail. Offering validities from three days to three consecutive months, the Eurail Global Pass enables travelers to see Europe at their own pace, and also allows agents to build unique itineraries for their clients.
In order to participate in the My Dream Itinerary contest, advisors must plan an itinerary that includes at least three countries and five different days of travel in participating Eurail Global Pass countries and submit their idea now through May 22, 2019. Submissions can be made via the Rail Europe agent website—agent.raileruope.com in the U.S. and agent.raileurope.ca in Canada excluding Quebec—or via the contest website, raileurope-mydreamitinerary.com.
All entries will be judged from May 23 to June 2, 2019 based on originality, creativity, popularity, ease of use in training webinar, and reason for the submission. Four finalists will be chosen to move on to the voting phase, which will take place June 3-28, 2019. Each of the four finalists will be provided the opportunity to co-present their itinerary in a webinar for their peers. The finalists’ itineraries also will be posted on the contest site website for voting to select the best overall itinerary. Voting will be open to the travel trade, consumers, friends, and family. One vote per person per day is allowed and is subject to registration.
In addition to co-presenting their itineraries in a Rail Europe webinar, the four My Dream Itinerary finalists will each receive a spot on the all-expenses paid mini-FAM to Europe and a leather Tech Wallet from Mark and Graham. The one My Dream Itinerary Grand Prize winner also gets to have his or her itinerary used for the mini FAM, as well as a 2-piece set of monogrammed luggage in their choice of color from Mark and Graham.
