Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando officially opened last week adjacent to the Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando, Florida. The new 1,000-guestroom property was inspired by the scenic rivers and waterfalls of the Caribbean and features a highly themed resort environment coupled with top-notch amenities including a 16,000-sq.-ft. resort-style pool complete with a waterslide, children’s play area, two sand beaches, and a fire pit; plus surrounding the pool is a cascading waterfall.

Onsite dining options include poolside bar and grill Drhum Club Kantine, featuring a seafood-laden, tapas-style menu; the Amatista Cookhouse, where guests can sample the restaurant’s signature mojo-marinated rotisserie chicken; and the destination lobby lounge Strong Water Tavern, which offers a one-of-a-kind cocktail journey with a rum captain where guests can sample some of the 75 rums available at the watering hole.

In addition, guests of Loews Sapphire Falls Resort receive early park admission to Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios theme parks one hour before the theme park opens, as well as complimentary shuttle buses, water taxis, and walking paths to both Universal Orlando theme parks and Universal CityWalk. Rates start at $172 per night for a 7-night stay. For more information, visit universalorlando.com/Hotels/Loews-Sapphire-Falls-Resort.aspx.
