Iberostar Group closed the 2025 financial year with managed revenues of nearly $6 billion (€5.1 billion), marking a 14 percent year-over-year increase driven by strong performance across Iberostar Hotels & Resorts and World2Meet.
The company is maintaining an ambitious investment plan through 2028, focused on selective expansion, asset transformation and long-term value creation across its global portfolio. In 2026, Iberostar will celebrate 70 years in tourism, supported by a global workforce of 40,000 employees representing 95 nationalities.
Iberostar Hotels & Resorts Drives Performance
Iberostar Hotels & Resorts remains the group’s primary growth engine. At year-end, the division operated 100 hotels totaling more than 33,500 rooms across 14 countries. Mediterranean destinations—including Greece, Morocco, Tunisia and Montenegro—performed well, while the Balearic and Canary Islands recorded double-digit sales growth.
In the Americas, sales rose 10 percent, supported by steady demand in the Dominican Republic, Brazil and Jamaica, alongside new openings in Aruba and Miami.
Selective Expansion and Renovations Ahead
Recent openings and renovations illustrate Iberostar’s strategy of selective growth and portfolio enhancement. JOIA Aruba by Iberostar has strengthened the brand’s luxury positioning, while the newly renovated Iberostar Selection Es Trenc and Iberostar Selection Fuerteventura Palace have been well received.
In Mexico, the opening of Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun marked the company’s twelfth hotel in the country and reflects its growing use of an asset-light management model.
Looking to 2026, Iberostar will open two new five-star properties: Iberostar Selection Montenegro, featuring 290 suites and villas on the Adriatic coast, and Iberostar Selection Zanzibar in Tanzania, the company’s first hotel in East Africa.
Major renovations are also underway, including Iberostar Waves Tucan and Quetzal in Mexico and JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar in Jamaica, which will undergo a full refurbishment in late 2026.
Sustainability Embedded in Growth Strategy
Responsible tourism remains central to Iberostar’s strategy through its Wave of Change initiative. By the end of 2025, the company had reduced landfill waste by more than 80 percent compared to 2021, achieved 93 percent responsible seafood sourcing globally, and continued progress toward climate neutrality.
Iberostar also expanded community-focused initiatives, including marine sanctuaries in Jamaica and Aruba and blue carbon partnerships in Spain, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable, long-term destination stewardship.
