AmaWaterways has released its first ever music video dedicated to travel advisor partners and guests.

The original song, titled ‘Ama Means Love (Family)’, is performed by AmaWaterways’ Lead Onboard Entertainer and musician David Onka, and the accompanying video was filmed in Budapest, Hungary. It shares scenes from AmaWaterways’ river cruises, including the authentic experiences that await guests ashore and the crew that treats each guest like part of the “AmaFamily” while on board.

The song is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and the music video can be viewed on AmaWaterways’ dedicated YouTube channel.

“Throughout our company’s 18 year history, music has been part of our DNA, influencing the naming of many ships, serving as a powerful connector and acting as a beautiful global language on board uniting people regardless of age, gender, race, color, nationality or circumstances,” said Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-founder of AmaWaterways, in a press release statement. “In a time when many of us have felt separated, music can do so much to bring us together and stimulate wonderful, shared memories. We hope this beautiful song brightens spirits and rekindles a spark for travel over the holiday season.”

The song is intended to symbolize joy and strength in unity, and to raise spirits during a time when many have felt distant and separated from others. The lyrics reflect the luxury river cruise line’s core values, reading “we are stronger together as one, as we conquer every storm… let love flow like a river, every soul. We are family.”

AmaWaterways is also continuing to host its virtual Sip & Sail Cocktail Hour series, during which company executives cover topics and inspire guests to plan their future travels. The next topic in the series will be a Virtual Holiday Cruise on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 5 p.m. EST, where AmaWaterways’ Co-Owners Karst and Gary Murphy will treat attendees to a festive program full of music and holiday cheer.
