There’s a celebration going on at Celebrity Cruises, and with good reason: it’s the first-ever cruise line to earn Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) Star Awards. It should be noted the magazine keeps its coveted awards close to the vest, as there are less than 20 land-based properties with over 1,000 rooms in the world ever to receive this recognition, awarded after visits by anonymous inspectors.

Celebrity Cruises Winning Ships Span Three Classes
Two ships—Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Edge—are part of Celebrity Cruises’ Edge Series, the line’s cutting-edge class with experiences like The Magic Carpet and two-story Edge Villas. Two—Celebrity Millenium and Celebrity Summit—belong to the Millenium Series, smaller ships with just over 1,000 staterooms each that received a multimillion-dollar upgrade in 2019. And the final ship to receive the award is the Celebrity Flora, part of the Mega-Yacht group, a small 100-passenger ultra-luxury vessel purpose-built for expeditions to the Galapagos.
