Travel agents can now plan and book their own independent FAM trip with the new Explore PLUS Program from Tourism New Zealand. The program supplies agents with more than 500 air, land, accommodation and attraction discounts and resources to design a personally curated New Zealand itinerary.
To be eligible for the PLUS Program, travel agents must hold Bronze certification through the Pure New Zealand Specialist Program available here.
Participating agents can take advantage of special fares including:
- Airfare starting at $200 from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston and Vancouver through Air New Zealand,plus an additional $200 off the discounted price for the first 100 agents
- Fifty percent off return fares from Los Angeles through American Airlines
- $550 return fare from Los Angeles through Air Tahiti Nui
- Flights from either Los Angeles or San Francisco for $599 or from Honolulu for $559 through Fiji Airways, plus the first 25 agents to book receive an additional $200 off the discounted fare.
In addition, Tourism New Zealand will be hosting showcases in October in Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and Dallas, where travel agents can learn the haka (a traditional war cry, war dance, or challenge) from Maori cultural performers, meet with 30 top New Zealand product suppliers and taste New Zealand wines.
