Goway Travel is asking U.S. and Canadian travel advisors to help name its elephant, yes elephant.
The travel group has teamed up with Kenya Wildlife Service—the body tasked with conserving and managing the country’s wildlife which includes an estimated 10 percent of the world’s African elephant population—to sponsor a young elephant as part of the company’s continuing commitment to wildlife conservation. Now, they need a hand in finding the perfect name for the youngster.
U.S. and Canadian advisors who book their clients on any Goway African tour between now and Aug. 15, 2022 will receive an email inviting them to suggest a name for the elephant. A deposit must be made to be eligible to participate.
If Goway chooses your proposed name, you will receive a free FAM trip to Kenya in November to meet the elephant. Even if your name wasn’t selected, up to five advisors who entered the competition will have the chance to book the FAM at a reasonable price. The trip includes visits to the Masai Mara reserve in the southwest, Amboseli National Park with its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Tsavo West National Park and Nairobi.
Goway Travel offers tours, safari and experiences in 19 African countries including Kenya, Botswana, Uganda and Tanzania. Trips range from 3-day luxury stays in Johannesburg or 3- to 4-day river cruises on Botswana with prices starting at $807 and $1,130, respectively, to the 20-day Transkalahari Adventure exploring South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe in Southern Africa, with prices starting at $4,859.
Current special offers include $1,300 off the 7-day Tanzania Odyssey Super Special for select dates from Sept. 2022 to Dec. 2023 for bookings made by July 31, 2022. Prices start at $2,899.
