Avion Travel Network has expanded its focus and is now organizing group cruises. A company that once concentrated on cruise deals for couples exclusively, is now expanding to this market as well.

“Going forward, we’d like to maintain and grow our focus on group cruises, but without jeopardizing the relationships we have with our individual and couples cruise clients. Our expansion into groups will include collaboration with various types of event planners, as well as targeting more corporate meetings at sea,” says Aubrey Williams, owner, Avion Travel Network.

Over the past year, more than half of Avion’s business has been group cruises, including yoga retreats, class and family reunions, and LGBT cruises, mostly recruited from social media sites such as Meetup.com and Facebook.

Hosting a group gathering or conference on a cruise offers a unique opportunity to mix business with pleasure. Nightly entertainment, food that guests can choose in a variety of different restaurants featuring varied cuisine, and opportunities for socializing appeal to groups. Plus, all-inclusive meals, amenities, activities, and shows make them attractive and in many cases, cost-effective. Group members can get a snack or meal without having to dig deep into their pockets.

Avion has arrangements with cruise lines including Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, Holland America, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, and Royal Caribbean that sail throughout the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico, and other worldwide destinations.
