Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCL) is launching phase two of its travel agent reservation system Espresso, featuring new capabilities for groups business on the cruise operator’s three major brands— Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises. The latest enhancements include the ability to create and book headquarter group space, simplified groups management and Espresso’s first group amenity points redemption feature. Additional updates, which were based on travel partner feedback, include headquarter groups, whereby members of a cooperative of travel agencies have the ability to easily view and book into their headquarter’s group inventory; simplified groups management, which allows agents to reserve and manage groups in fewer steps and clicks; and group amenity points redemption, which can be easily redeemed, shared and purchased online to enhance clients’ vacations. But that’s not all. Agents are also able to take advantage of streamlined group payments system, and expanded group reporting where group booking owners can create and manage their own reports, including booking invoices and financial statements. There’s also an enhanced stateroom availability search that simplifies the hunt for the ideal cabin by allowing agents to view what’s available on multiple decks through interactive deck plans, including the 50 best open staterooms per category and a filter to find accommodations closest to a specific stateroom. Further enhancements are expected in the future. For more information, visit bookespresso.com/new or royalcaribbean.com.
