The Philippine Tourism Promotions Board in partnership with the Philippines Department of Tourism and their Philippines-based travel partners are hosting a series of events geared towards travel agents to highlight this lesser-known Southeast Asian country.
Events are being held in Chicago this Friday, May 26, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; in Atlanta on May 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; in Philadelphia on June 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Philadelphia; and in New York on June 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
During the information sessions, Philippines-based experts will discuss the diverse cultural and natural attractions found on the Islands, from the pristine waters, white-sand beaches and cuisine to the vibrant nightlife, colorful history and bustling cities. There will also be a Philippines-style lunch served at the Atlanta, Philadelphia and New York events, while Philippines-styled hors d’oeuvres will be served in Chicago. In addition, prizes will be awarded at the events, along with the chance to win a trip to the Philippines for two.
