Advisors, you can now earn 22 percent commission in 2022 when booking Virgin Voyages during Wave Season. In addition, your clients will save 20 percent off any voyage, and they’ll also get an additional $100 towards a prepaid bar tab, plus they’ll receive an extra 10 percent off if they plan ahead and book with the Pay-in-Full Discount. Sailors will also receive $600 worth in extras such as dining at 20+ eateries, all gratuities, free WiFi, basic beverages and unlimited group fitness classes.
“We’re kicking off 2022 by paying 22 percent commission. It’s resonating really well; my inbox won’t stop blowing up,” says John Diorio, associate v.p., North America sales, Virgin Voyages.
When asked how Virgin Voyages is resonating with travel advisors, or First Mates as they are called in the Virgin Voyages world, he says, “As Virgin stepped into this market, we wanted to create something a little bit different and the reaction we are seeing, just in these first three months of sailing, is overwhelming.
“We are excited about the feedback we are getting; even looking at the bookings we’ve been getting since we launched, especially among the First Mates—the engagement is at an all-time high. It’s really exciting,” says Diorio. “We plan to bring on over 9,000 advisors on board the ship October through February—it’s one of those boxes we had to check because as advisors said, ‘I have to see it and I have to experience it; if you’re not just another cruise, show me.’ The feedback we are getting from our First Mates is, ‘Wow, this is truly different.’”
