The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced the launch of the CLIA Cruise Finder, a new resource that allows CLIA Travel Agency and Individual Travel Agent members to view detailed information about cruise travel. Using the resource, members can access ship information, itineraries, onboard offerings and general travel agent educational content. The Cruise Finder also provides tools for planning group bookings.
The Cruise Finder resource is one of several new benefits added to the 2016 CLIA Travel Agency and Individual Agent Member programs following the results of a member survey. Based on this research, CLIA has also launched the new EMBARC (Enrolled Member Benefit And Recognition Card) ID. Formally known as the CLIA Card, the ID is the official credential of the cruise industry and is issued exclusively to CLIA Individual Agent members. The ID provides access to more than 200 benefits, and more will be added throughout the year. CLIA members receive priority confirmation on FAM trips, seminars at sea and ship inspections on CLIA Cruise Line Member ships, as well as commission privileges and personal travel benefits from rental car companies, hotels, resorts, attractions and CLIA Global Cruise Line members.
Two levels of membership are offered to meet professional travel consultant’s needs. CLIA Agency Membership can quickly raise an agency’s profile and reputation within the industry, and offers Silver, Gold or Diamond levels of enrollments. While CLIA Individual Agent Members (IAM) gain access to benefits and resources to help them navigate the industry, attract more clients and increase overall income. Other benefits available to members include exclusive news and content in the monthly Travel Agent Cruise News newsletter, access to the State of the Cruise Industry online course, and a $100 discount on registration at the upcoming Cruise360 conference taking place in June in Vancouver, British Columbia.
