Carnival Cruise Line is easing travel agents’ workload with two new initiatives created with you in mind. As part of its ongoing Onboard with You trade support platform, Carnival has added a variety of enhancements to its travel agent portal goccl.com, including a streamlined booking process with less steps required to make a booking; a new customized “nearby stateroom search” feature allowing agents to more easily search for multi-category staterooms that are located within close proximity; and a new booking process with an accordion-style window to guide agents throughout each step of the booking process—guest information entry, rate selection, upsell options and stateroom category availability—without leaving the page.

Additional features include an enhanced “specialty cruise” column, which now includes “Cozumel Plus” itineraries with an option to click on a video describing the program; a new “select and add more staterooms” feature that allows agents to book multiple staterooms based on the current booking they are working on without having to re-enter search criteria; and an expanded “stateroom information screen” that provides agents with an overview of the selected stateroom including updated images, floor plans, and 360-degree view, as well as a full description of features and amenities of the chosen stateroom. A tutorial highlighting the various upgrades is available on goccl.com.

In addition, Carnival is showcasing the Carnival Vista to travel agents through a six-part video series featuring the line’s brand ambassador John Heald and v.p. of sales and trade marketing Adolfo Perez. The first video, for example, shows the two hosts competing on SkyRide, the ship’s suspended open-air cycling experience. “This new video series gives agents a fun and informative look at a number of Carnival Vista’s features and how agents can market and sell the ship to their clients,” said Perez. “Plus, I know first-hand how much agents enjoy John’s highly entertaining insights, and there’s no shortage of those in this new video series.” Other segments include Heald and Perez making their own cocktails at the Alchemy Bar, showing agents the new design concept featured in the Horizons Restaurant, visiting the tropics-inspired Havana Pool and Havana Cabanas, engaging in a salsa competition at the Havana Bar, and sharing a beer at the RedFrog Pub & Brewery.
