Agencia Global, Montreal-based Voyages A La Carte’s online B2B platform, which launched last year, provides travel agents with a simple and effective tool to book airfare and travel insurance, and soon the B2B platform will complete the integration of hotels and car rentals. Agencia Global is also the only consolidator tool available to travel agents that has no cost to sign up, no booking fees and no markup on nets.

On the Agencia Global platform, agent can book up to nine passengers on one PNR, and Agencia Global can facilitate multi-city flights for up to five different destinations for the same passengers (additional passengers and flights must be reserved on a separate booking).

Agencia Global features built-in fraud-screening tools—a must in today’s environment. The platform makes a risk assessment for any given booking by weighing factors such as the name of the credit card holder and passenger, as well as the origin and destination of the booking. Those which don’t pass the assessment are investigated further. Additionally, the credit card charge on client invoices includes fare, plus any customized travel agent fees; and the client invoice is customized with travel agent name and contact information.

Commissions to agents are reconciled and paid out on a monthly basis, and full customer support for American and Canadian agents will be offered out of Voyages A La Carte’s head office; any changes or service required for travel agents in the post-booking process will be fully supported by a highly trained team, not supported by a third party or off shore call center.
