The Melia Punta Cana Beach Resort is promising guests a “fully immersive wellness experience” with a new collection of activities and rituals.

The Dominican Republic resort, which already offered an extensive wellness program, is doubling down with its new Wellbeing 360 Experience. The resort will have daily programming, dining, and social spaces designed to enhance guests’ physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, social, and environmental development.

The Melia Punta Cana Beach’s staff of wellbeing experts will focus on five wellness spaces: Social, Silent, Sensory, Culinary and Personal. A new series of themed monthly wellness retreats is being introduced, starting with a culinary program in July centered on healthy eating and detox programs.

To commemorate the International Day of Yoga, June 21, the resort has partnered with the Isha Foundation for a weekend retreat.

Expert-led wellness activities offered year-round will include mud cleansing, holistic therapy, sound healing, Ayurvedic cooking, juicing detox programs, Taino rituals and active fitness classes. Yoga, meditation, bike tours, garden workshops and an obstacle course are among the Melia Punta Cana Beach’s other wellbeing oriented activities.

A Resort-wide Transformation

Dining options also will be refocused on healthy eating options. Stays in the resort’s Level Wellness Suites include one daily spa treatment per person, as well. Public spaces throughout the resort have been revamped to emphasize quiet and serenity.

“Now, more than ever, guests are seeking a fully immersive wellness experience, enriching the mind, body, and soul, so we are excited to expand our unique Wellbeing 360 Experience to meet this demand,” said hotel manager Derryl D’costa in a press statement. “By transforming into an immersive wellness property, Melia Punta Cana Beach, a Wellness Inclusive Resort, truly differentiates itself in the Caribbean and we believe those visitors to the Dominican Republic seeking to unlock total well-being will find no other wellness experience quite like it.”

Nightly rates at Melia Punta Cana Beach start at $219 per night. The Level Wellness Suites by StayWell start at $300 per night.
