Nayara Tented Camp continues to elevate Costa Ricapura vida way of life to new heights, having just wrapped up phase two of a significant expansion. The luxury resort has added a main common area with a reception tent, bar, lounge, restaurant, swimming pool and fire pit. The new restaurant, Ayla, offers contemporary Mediterranean food with influences from the Middle East, served with a view of the Arenal Volcano.

There are also several new accommodations that continue their focus on indoor-outdoor living. These include two four-bedroom tented residences with a living area, dining area, and main deck and pool; six two-bedroom tents (perfect for families); and eight more stand-alone tents. This brings the total accommodations on the property to 37 altogether.

The two new private residences—Casa Paloma and Casa Dana—can sleep eight adults and four small children. A large terrace connects the two main tents, with a fully stocked kitchen, living area and large TV. Outside is an oversized pool, a fire pit, an outdoor dining area, and lounge chairs and umbrellas. The residences come with a personal concierge and a private chef is available for the asking.

The family-friendly private two-bedroom, two-bathroom tents are connected by a central terrace, a plunge pool fed by hot springs, and a sitting and dining area.

New experiences are also on tap, including frog-watching expeditions, Plant-a-tree day, Friday visits to the Farmer’s Market in La Fortuna town, birdwatching, a botanical experience with the naturalist guides and a look at “The Secret Life of Tony, the Sloth” (where guests get an in-depth look at the sloth who has called Nayara home for many years).

Nayara Tented Camp is just a short stroll away from the spas, pools, and four restaurants of the sister resorts, Nayara Gardens and Nayara Springs.
