The “barefoot luxury” Hotel Nantipa in Costa Rica has opened two new beachfront villas. Each has three bedrooms, with rates starting at $2,300 nightly.

The two-story, 2,000-square-foot villas include full kitchens, dining areas, and bedrooms with ensuite baths. Two bedrooms have king beds, the third has a pair of queen beds. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open onto a private outdoor deck, infinity-edge pool, and the beach.

A 24-hour concierge, private chefs, fitness instructors, babysitters, and mixologists serve each villa. The resort is located in Santa Teresa on the Nicoya Peninsula, set between the beach and forest. The Nicoya Peninsula is part of a UNESCO-designated Blue Zone, one of five regions in the world cited for healthy living and longevity.

The villas join Hotel Nantipa’s existing 19 suites and bungalows and the newly opened Numú Wellness Center, an open-air space within the resort gardens dedicated to healing experiences.

Activities on and off property at Hotel Nantipa nclude surfing, yoga, paddleboarding, scuba diving, whale watching, fishing, and horseback riding. Hiking destinations include Montezuma Waterfall, Cabo Blanco National Park, and the Curú Reserve.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) recently named Hotel Nantipa to the new 26-property “Considerate Collection.” The designation marks the hotel as one of the premier environmentally sustainable luxury properties in the world.

“We are thrilled to welcome travelers to their nurturing home away from home in our new Beachfront Villas,” Harry Hartman, owner and general Manager at Hotel Nantipa, said in a press statement. “We are dedicated to ensuring visitors fully enjoy the Tico Beach Experience, blending barefoot luxury and the healing properties of the natural environment with unparalleled comfort and service in the paradise known as Santa Teresa.
