As the vaccine rolls out to more and more travelers, Delta Vacations is confident the travel & tourism industry will be on the road back to “normal” in the second half of 2021. And, as Jennie Ho, president of Delta Vacations, notes, “The travel and tourism industry is more resilient than ever. The industry has collectively shown its resiliency, creativity and agility to responsibly offer safe travel and vacation experiences to customers. As a result, Delta Vacations is seeing a strong number of bookings including our top 10 booking days as recent as this week since March 2020. This signifies that our customers trust us and the extra precautions we are taking to keep them safe.”

Included among those precautions is Delta Vacations’ decision to only feature hotels outside of the U.S. that offer onsite testing for COVID-19 for travel now through March 31, 2021. With new COVID-19 testing requirements in place for travel into the U.S., this move, the operator says, will ensure customers who book international travel through the operator have onsite support for testing.

“Delta Vacations’ key focus is to bring consumer confidence back to travel,” says Brian Canning, v.p. of business growth and engagement. “We are partnering with strategically aligned resorts, hotels and destination management companies (DMC) partners to deliver a safe travel experience.

“We also keep a close eye on our customers’ feedback by leveraging our Net Promoter Score measurements. Our Product team uses these scores and customer comments to provide insight, feedback and kudos to our hotel partners so that we can deliver the best vacation possible.”

The operator’s Delta CareStandard, which begins the moment your clients board a Delta Air Lines flight, with all surfaces and high-traffic areas cleaned and disinfected, and blocked middle seats on board, extends to Delta Vacations’ hotel and transportation partners. Additionally, the operator has rolled out a new page with up-to-date travel policies and hotel information. It offers a list of recommended destinations, including COVID-19 requirements and restrictions: delta.com/us/en/delta-vacations/vacation-now.
