Guests on a whale-watching voyage with Silversea can now admire the beauty of these mammals and other marine life while also working to protect them, thanks to the cruise line’s new partnership with ORCA, a UK-based marine conservation charity.

Through this partnership, Silversea guests will contribute to ORCA’s ongoing marine conservation work by helping to collect data on the sightings of whales, dolphins, and porpoises. In addition, ORCA conservationists will travel on board select voyages to share their knowledge of the diversity of marine life present where Silversea sails.

In 2018, these select voyages include the May 2 departure of Silver Explorer from San Diego to Vancouver and the May 13 departure of the same ship from Vancouver to San Francisco. In 2019, the ORCA conservationists will sail on the May 12 voyage from Tokyo to Seward, Alaska and the May 27 voyage from Seward to Vancouver. Both 2019 sailings will be aboard Silver Muse.
