When the clock struck midnight on Jan. 1, 2018, Seabourn marked the beginning of a new year with celebrations of the cruise line’s 30th anniversary and its plans to keep the celebration going throughout 2018.

Most notably, Seabourn will use its 30th year anniversary to expand the cruise line’s fleet from four ships to five with the delivery of Seabourn Ovation. The ship, which is scheduled to launch in spring 2018, will feature modern design elements, and will also be configured with one additional deck and expanded public areas. Also new and unique to the Seabourn Ovation will be the signature dining experience at The Grill by Thomas Keller, and the new mindful living program, Spa & Wellness with Dr. Andrew Weil (click here to read more). Seabourn Ovation will depart on its 11-day inaugural voyage from Venice, Italy to Barcelona, Spain on May 5, 2018.

In keeping with the tradition of marking a 30th anniversary with pearls, Seabourn is toasting to this milestone with an exclusive Passion Pearls cocktail crafted by mixologist Brian van Flandern, which will be served on board all ships in its fleet. The cocktail combines passionfruit puree, champagne, Hennessey VSOP Cognac, and more. Also new to the fleet will be a special 30th Anniversary Wine Package, featuring a selection of wine and champagne for purchase, as well a special collection of pearls and commemorative 30th anniversary merchandise available in the shops on board.
